Pastels have been making waves this season, and while they could have once been strictly linked to spring’s blooming flowers, they are one of this winter’s largest statement makers.
Seen at runways which include Jil Sander, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and Pimples, pastels running the gamut from mint green to pastel white (the hue highlighted by this photo shoot in this Winter 2012/13 issue). H&M got the trend well-known, by styling a lot of their fall as well as winter collections, —modelled right here by Lana Del Rey and Frida Gustavsson | in the candy colours.
That week, we challenged our Style Panel associates to appropriate the design for real life. The result? 14 stunning assumes on the light as well as lovely shades photo’d everywhere you go form the skateboarding rink to Central Park in Ny. Our latest panelist, Melanie Morais regarding Born Lippy, paired two pop pastels having a contrasting black.
