While individuals were predicting lots of colour for the Golden Globes red carpet last night, there was, because always, plenty involving black. And as you move the old standard may look stale, a pair of A-listers brought dark-colored into new place.
Kate Hudson gob smacked in Alexander McQueen. The gorgeous dark-colored gown was an obvious standout at this show, making it towards the top of a number of best-dressed lists. The gown featured a high collar, décolletage cutout, gold embellishments for the shoulders and midsection, long sleeves and a train. With all of those details it would be easy for something to look wrong, but this kind of dress is Alexander McQueen efficiency.
Golden Globes victorious one Julianne Moore was quite as stunning in the custom designed monochrome Tom Ford line dress. The graphic-treated minimalist dress was the perfect offset to Moore’s signature red hair, as well as the strategic white systems highlighted her midsection and legs. Covered up in the front, with a spacious and draped back—definitely not something you'll picture Sarah Palin in.
