Past night’s 70th annual Glowing Globe Awards was a reasonably epic lesson in red-colored carpet trends. From the bright colours for the mermaid tails to your boob shows, the A-list all appeared to have consulted with each and every other’s stylists before coming to the event. Red rose to the the top colour charts, making shiny appearances on Golden Entire world winner Jennifer Lawrence with Dior Haute Couture, Zooey Deschanel with Oscar de la Renta in addition to Claire Danes in Versace. Livlier shades were worn simply by Naomi Watts in Zac Posen, Taylor Swift in Donna Karan Atelier in addition to Lena Dunham in Zac Posen (the verdict’s still from Dunham’s dress, though we really don’t love to speak negatively about a really precious human).
Pastels also seemed a strong message on the red-colored carpet, with every hue inside candy coated rainbow being tested up against the natural beauty of your night’s various stars. Jessica Alba‘s trademark bronzed glow was balanced out by her creamsicle lemon Oscar de la Renta trumpet dress. Meanwhile, Golden Globe winner Jessica Chastain chose the most ideal aquamarine on the colour wheel for her Calvin Klein gown. Bravo!
On the flip side, stark black and white (and a combo of both using Julianne Moore’s graphic paper Tom Ford column dress) predictably appeared en masse on stars like Anne Hathaway with beaded white Chanel, Amanda Seyfried with stunning white Givenchy in addition to Kate Hudson and Nicole Kidman, have been both clear standouts with statement-making black Alexander McQueen garments.
And the mermaid tails, oh yea those mermaid tails. Thought these were retired? Think again. The ole pyramid hem is proving to become on a clear return, as worn by Amy Adams, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Jessica Alba.
As for the aforementioned boob-show, one flip through Golden Globe red carpeting gallery would show really the bountiful selection. And also really, is there much wrong with this?
