Even with Lena Dunham along with Zooey Deschanel speaking and tweeting about coordinating their nail art for the 2012 Emmys, it seems the two didn’t actually continue with their coordinating manicure plans. Though Lena Dunham kept her Emmy accolades nails simple, she did stay with trend with the woman's colour choice, deciding on Deborah Lippmann’s natual-looking “Fashion” toe nail polish. The taupe colour complemented her Prada dress and kept the target her makeup. And we have to say: Lena Dunham really does a dramatic glowing blue smoky eye well. (It’s very Chanel Couture Springtime 2012, no? )
Zooey Deschanel would, however, show standing on the red carpet with an impressive sparkly toe nail art design, full of glittering mini TVs on her thumbs and Swarovski crystals overtop a light orange polish across all the other fingers. The manicure was courtesy L’Oreal Paris’ Mary Bachik, who also did the nails for other Emmys people like Heidi Klum along with Ashley Judd. However one question stays: now that she’s performed tuxedos and Tvs, what sort of miniaturized nail art will Zooey Deschanel test next?
